James J. Toomer of Pensacola, Fla., passed away Friday, Dec. 31, 2004, in a local hospital. He was a lifetime resident of Escambia County, Fla., and a member of Olive Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Earnestine Toomer.
He is survived a sister, Louise (Henry) McCutchin of Century, Fla., and a sister-in-law, Willie Jo Toomer of Fountain, Fla.
Services were held Saturday, Jan. 1, 2005, at 11 a.m. at Flomaton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Eugene Steele officiating. Interment at Jay Cemetery, Jay, Fla., with Flomaton Funeral Home directing.
