James Lawrence Raines, age 81, passed away Thursday, Dec. 24, 2004, at his residence. Mr. Raines was a native of Conecuh County and of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ann Raines of Castleberry; two sons, Ron (Kay) Raines of Santa Rosa Beach, Fla., and Keith Raines of Castleberry; five brothers, Hannis (Nita) Raines, Jr., John (Hellen) Raines, Leon (Carolyn) Raines, Harold (Linda) Raines, Horice (Carolyn) Raines; two sisters, Lois (Joe) Merril, Clara (Don) Perez; one grandson, Clarke Raines and a special great nephew, Toby Weaver.
Services were held on Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2004, at 11a.m. from the Chapel of Craver's Funeral Home with Reverend Buddy Williams officiating. Interment followed in London Cemetery, with Craver's Funeral Home directing.
