Ruby Aretha Hobbs Rabon, age 83, passed away on Friday, Dec. 31, 2004, after an extended illness.
She is survived by seven sons, Wilbur Rabon of Brewton; Levi (Becky) Rabon of Castleberry; Ernest (Deborah Jo) Rabon of Castleberry; Joe Rabon of Castleberry; Darroll (Cindy) Rabon; Lester (Susan) Rabon of Castleberry; three daughters, Irma (Donald) Rabon of Castleberry; Sue (Craig) Boyd of Brewton; Fae (Al) Godwin of Castleberry; two sisters-in-laws, Stella Hobbs of E. Brewton and Ida Pearl Hobbs of Andalusia; 29 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren.
Services were held at Craver's Funeral Home on Jan. 3, 2005, at 11 a.m. Graveside was at Buffington Cemetery in Castleberry with the Rev. Thomas Smith and the Rev. Marvin Merritt officiating and Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
