Mrs. Hazel Louise Kennedy, 86, died Thursday, Jan. 6, 2005, in a local nursing facility. She was a homemaker and a member of Pleasant Hill Holiness Church. She was preceded in death by three sons, Gladden William Graves, Jimmy Graves and Henry David Graves.
She is survived by her husband, Harold Kennedy of Brewton; four sons, Johnny Ray Graves and Melvin Kennedy, both of Frisco City, and Harold Eugene Kennedy and Tony Kennedy, both of Brewton; five daughters, Melba Joyce Lambeth, Janice Marie Martin, Patsy Gail Hogue and Roetta Bell, all of Brewton, and Vivian Jay of Uriah; one sister, Margaret Chavers of Brewton; 30 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Jan. 9, at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Craver's Funeral Home with the Rev. Johnny Cardwell, the Rev. Robert Wilson and the Rev. Jessie Bohannon officiating. Burial followed at Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Craver's Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Mrs. Kennedy's grandsons.
