Mrs. Edith Williamson Arrant, 83, died Thursday, Jan. 20, 2005, in a local hospital after a brief illness. She was a native of Mobile County and a lifelong resident of Escambia County, Ala. She was a member of Flomaton First Baptist Church and a retired bookkeeper from Keego Clay Products. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Arrant.
She is survived by three sons, Harold (Betty) Arrant of Pace, Fla., Don (Saralene) Arrant of Brewton, and Kenneth (Mozelle) Arrant of East Brewton; one daughter, Linda (Jim) Burkett of Flomaton; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 22, at 11 a.m. at Catawba Springs Cemetery with Dr. Jerry Keese and Dr. Tim McKnight officiating and Williams Chapel Funeral Home directing.
