Mr. James Hubert Varner, 57, died Monday, Jan. 17, 2005, at his residence. He was a native of Conecuh County and a heavy equipment operator for an oil drilling company.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Sherryl Varner of Brewton; two daughters, Jerry Mae Davis and Emily Gibson, both of Brewton; two brothers, Larry Lee Varner and Roland Lee Varner Jr., both of Brewton; two sisters, Linda Gale Hall and Mary Louise Varner, both of Brewton, and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Jan. 20, at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Cope Funeral Home in Evergreen with the Rev. Earl Watson officiating. Burial followed at L Pond Cemetery in Castleberry with Cope Funeral Home directing.
