For the year 2004, the Escambia County Fire &Rescue Squad responded to 115 documented call-outs. The types of calls responded to by the Rescue Squad ranged from motor vehicle accidents, various dive missions, a plane crash, numerous assists of various law enforcement agencies, searches for missing persons, transports for the Department of Human Resources and other persons unable to afford transportation to doctor's appointments, and assisting with recovery after Hurricane Ivan.
