Mr. Miles White, 86, died Sunday, Jan. 23, 2005, in Milton, Fla. he was a native and lifelong resident of Escambia County, Ala.. During his working years, he was a millwright for Daniels Construction for over 25 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Flomaton and was preceded in death by his daughter, Lucille Ladnier; his brother, Bart White and his sisters, Carlie Lee, Hazel Toomey and Inez White.
He is survived by his wife, Edna Irene White of Flomaton; his daughters, Jean (Fred) Miller of Sulfur Springs, Texas, Julia (Tommy) Neal of Flomaton, and Jo Ann (Steve) Griffin of La Grange, Ga.; his brothers, John White, Lavon "Whitey" White and Andrew White, all of Century, Fla. and Bobby White of Stockton; his sisters, Sally George of Jacksonville, Fla. and Ula Sullivan of Atmore.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 25, at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Flomaton with the Rev. Jerry Keese and Dr. Tim McKnight officiating. Burial followed at Flomaton Cemetery with Flomaton Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Seth Neal, Deric Ladnier, Greg Stephens, Todd Stephens, Royal Preston, Spencer Preston and David Magee.
