Mary-Allison Lancaster has been named managing editor of The Brewton Standard. She began work this week.
A native of Mobile, she most recently worked as a staff reporter at The Islander in Gulf Shores, covering the cities of Orange Beach, Gulf Shores and Fort Morgan.
She also worked as an editorial intern at Mobile Bay Monthly.
She is a graduate of the University of South Alabama, where she earned a bachelor's degree in communications, and U.M.S. Wright Preparatory School.
She and her dog, Sadie, are making their home in Brewton.
