Most people regard the number 13 as unlucky.
The W.S. Neal Blue Eagles probably will not argue with that, as their losing skid hit 13 games with Friday's 58-27 home-court loss to the UMS-Wright Bulldogs.
UMS-Wright led only 13-9 after a quarter before it outscored the Blue Eagles 32-11 over the next two frames to pull away.
B.J. McMillian led W.S. Neal (2-20) with 13 points.
UMS-Wright also won the junior varsity game 35-29. Travis Barnes led the Blue Eagles (5-11) with 10 points.
W.S. Neal's next game is Monday at home against Frisco City.

Tuesday's game
The Blue Eagles finished up a winless Class 3A Area 1 campaign Tuesday when they dropped a 62-43 road decision to the Straughn Tigers.

While Straughn led throughout, W.S. Neal trailed just 8-7 after a quarter, 25-17 at halftime and 41-32 through three quarters before the Tigers ended the game on a 21-11 surge in the fourth quarter.
Cecil Thomas led W.S. Neal with 14 points, while B.J. McMillian added nine.
The Blue Eagles dropped a 39-27 decision to Straughn in the junior varsity game despite 14 points from Jimmy Wilson.
