Mrs. Mamie Lou Walston, 89, died Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2005, in Century, Fla. She was a native of Jay, Fla., and a resident of Byrneville for 58 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Walston and a grandson, Ronald Walston.
She is survived by a son, Guyzell "Buddy" (Hazel) Walston of Byrneville; a grandson, Joe (Marie) Walston of Byrneville, and three great-grandchildren, including Katie Walston of Brewton.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, Feb. 2, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Feb. 3, at 10 a.m. at Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Harper and the Rev. Joseph Horst officiating. Burial will follow at Traveler's Rest Cemetery with Eastside directing. Pallbearers will be Coy Boutwell, Levon Little, John E. Killam, Charles Raughton, George T. Langford and Thomas B. Adams.
