A two-vehicle accident on Hwy. 31 south of Brewton resulted in a 6-year-old being transported to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola on Tuesday, Feb. 2.
Brewton Police Officer Jason Yoder said a 1997 green Rodeo SUV driven by Daryl Graves was traveling north on Hwy. 31. The road was wet from all the rain and the vehicle hydroplaned, jumping across the lane into the path of a log truck driven by Larry Varner of Castleberry.
Along with Graves were his wife and three children, one of whom was a 6-year-old who was transported to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola with head trauma. Graves suffered a broken arm in the accident and was treated and released. The driver of the truck was unharmed.
