FEMA changes course, city ponders debris

The Federal Emergency Management Agency cannot seem to make up its mind regarding cleanup along private property.
Debris from Hurricane Ivan is still evident, and private property owners are at a loss as to what to do with it. FEMA officials recently told county officials they would aid in debris removal along private property, and county officials made announcements to that effect. However, FEMA officials have since reneged their effort to aid in the debris removal.
