Mrs. Ethel Blair Wilson, 90, of McGougin Road, died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2005, in a local hospital after a brief illness. She was a native and life long resident of Escambia County, Ala. She was a member of Appleton Free Will Baptist Church and a retired weaving machine operator. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Wilson; two daughters, Pauline Wilson and Lois Golden, and a son, Floyd Wilson.
She is survived by a son, Robert L. Wilson of Milton, Fla.; two daughters, Alma R. Allen and Clara Faye Burch, both of Brewton; a brother, Dr. Bruner Blair of Morgan City, La.; two sisters, Ruthie Cooper and Nola Raines, both of Castleberry; 23 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Saturday, Feb. 12, from 5 p.m. until funeral time at Appleton Free Will Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held today, Feb. 13, at 2 p.m. at the church with the Rev. Homer Stewart, the Rev. Robert Craig and the Rev. Fred White officiating. Burial will follow at Weaver Cemetery on Appleton Road with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
