Mr. James Henry Capers Sr. 53, died Sunday, Feb. 13, 2005, in Evergreen. He was a native and former resident of Atmore and a resident of Castleberry for the past year. He attended the Holiness church and was preceded in death by his parents, James and Emily Capers.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Capers; four sons, James Capers II and Samuel E. Capers, both of Castleberry, Curtis E. Capers of Brewton and Jerry W. Capers of Robertsdale; a step-son, Chris and Becky Weaver of Brewton and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Feb. 15, at 2 p.m. at the Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Daniel Capers officiating. Burial followed at Oak Hill Cemetery with Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Curtis E. Capers, Richard Capers, Henry Capers, Curtis M Capers, Timothy Wayne Capers and Vincent Lambert. Honorary pallbearers were Leon Burgans, Chris Weaver and Holand King.
