Mrs. Shirley Wylene Neese Welch, 67, of Brantley Lane, died Friday, Feb. 18, 2005, at a local hospital after an extended illness. She was a native of Opp, and former resident of Montgomery, before moving to Brewton 46 years ago. She was homemaker and of the Protestant faith.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Donald "Charlie" Welch of Brewton; a son, Steve (Tracy) Welch of Titus; a daughter, Sheila Dianne (Dennis) Hammac of Brewton; two brothers, Waylon Neese of Fairfield, Ohio, and Donald Neese of Virginia; three grandchildren, Jennifer Holland, Whit Welch and Heath Hammac, and one great-granddaughter, Jessica McBride.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Feb. 20, at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Parkerson officiating. Burial followed at Green Acres Memorial Gardens with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
