T.R. Miller has completed its 2005 football schedule by renewing its series against Jay (Fla.).
The Tigers will host Jay on October 28 in the regular season finale, giving T.R. Miller six home games for the upcoming season.
This year was actually supposed to be the Tigers' turn to travel to Jay, but the Royals gave permission for T.R. Miller to host after the 2004 game at Brewton got cancelled due to scheduling complications caused by Hurricane Ivan.
Riggs said the future of the Jay series is on a year-by-year situation.
T.R. Miller's schedule now reads like this.
Aug. 26 Escambia County Home
Sept. 2 Straughn Home*
Sept. 9 Dale County Away*
Sept. 16 Abbeville Home*
Sept. 23 Andalusia Away
Sept. 30 Slocomb Home*

Instead of the traditional Blue/White intrasquad scrimmage game, the W.S. Neal Blue Eagles football team will cap off its spring workouts with a scrimmage game at Hillcrest on May 12 at 7 p.m.
The Blue Eagles are slated to begin their spring workouts on April 26.
W.S. Neal and Hillcrest will also hook up in an exhibition game next fall at East Brewton on August 19.
The Blue Eagles had been played an exhibition game against Andalusia in recent years.
Smothers wants to turn the exhibition game into a permanent home date for W.S. Neal. At this time, Hillcrest's appearance is just for the 2005 season.
W.S. Neal is starting a cheerleading squad for freshman girls next year. Those girls will cheer at the junior varsity games.
The current varsity cheerleading unit at the school is comprised of sophomores through seniors.
Amy Smothers will serve as the sponsor of the new junior varsity cheerleading unit, while Ashley McCollum will serve as the coach.
Those girls who wish to try out will have practice at W.S. Neal Middle School from March 3-10 and actual tryouts will be on March 11.
