Mrs. Sadie Ruth McCawley Jernigan, 74, died Friday, Feb. 25, 2005 at a Pensacola hospital. She was a native of McDavid, Fla., and a resident of Century for the past 54 years. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Steven W. Mize.
She is survived by her husband, Hughie Jernigan of Century; two daughters, Judy (Don) Bondurant and Joan (Gary) Mize, both of Flomaton; two grandchildren, Jeffery Bondurant and Cynthia Mize, and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Feb. 27, at 2 p.m. at the Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Stephen Yuhasz officiating. Burial followed at Mize Cemetery with Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Keith Nelson, John White, Charlie Brown, Jack Brown, Billy Byrd and Frederick Crews.
