Mr. Claude C. Thomas, 92, of Bradley Road of the Roberts community, died Sunday, Feb. 27, 2005, at his residence after a brief illness. He was a native and life long resident of Escambia County, Ala. He was a member of Elim Baptist Church and a retired farmer. He was preceded in death by his wife of 71 years, Willie Belle Ball Thomas and a son, Claude Ray Thomas.
He is survived by a daughter, Patsy (Brian) Williamson of Brewton; three grandchildren, Kim (Jason) Madden, Michael (Heather Madden) Williams and Faith (Bryan) Burt, all of Brewton, and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 2, at 2 p.m. at Elim Baptist Church with the Rev. Harold McGraw and the Rev. Sonny Wilingham officiating. Burial followed at Elim Baptist Church Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
