Charles "Ted" Gill

Mr. Charles "Ted" Gill, 84, of Ridge Road, died Tuesday, March 1, 2005, in a local hospital after a brief illness. He was a native of McClellan, Fla., and a long time resident of Escambia County, Ala. He was a member and deacon of East Brewton Baptist Church, a U.S. Marines veteran, member of Norris Lodge 301, a retired electrician and helped establish Ridge Road Water Board.
He is survived by two sons, David (Ginger) Gill of Eufaula and Eddie (Thersa) Dolihite of Pensacola, Fla.; three daughters, Elaine Gill of Brewton, Becky Glidewell of Bay Minette and Kim (Butch) Gill of Castleberry; one brother, Joseph Gill of Berrydale, Fla.; one sister, Bernice Wiggins of Bagdad, Fla.; 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, March 4, at 2 p.m. at East Brewton Baptist Church with the Rev. Bryan Gill officiating. Burial followed at Elim Baptist Church Cemetery in Roberts with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
