Mrs. Julia Demaris Brooks, 87, died Saturday, March 5, 2005, at a local nursing home. She was a native and life-long resident of Brewton and was of the Methodist faith. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Tommy Wayne Brooks.
She is survived by her brother, Burke H. Kennedy of Milton, Fla., and a number of other relatives.
Graveside services were held Monday, March 7, at 9 a.m. at the Weaver Family Cemetery on Hwy. 29 with the Rev. Lee Joyner officiating and Craver's Funeral Home directing.
