Mrs. Lizzie Gantt Taylor, 86, of Hwy. 29, East Brewton, died Monday, March 7, 2005, in a local nursing facility after an extended illness. She was a native of River Falls and a long-time resident of Escambia County, Ala. She was a member of Cedar Hill Baptist Church and a retired seamstress from Judy Bond.
She is survived by three sons, Earbie (Mary) Clayton Taylor Jr., Robert (AlvaNann) Taylor and Billy Joe Taylor, all of East Brewton; one brother, James (Elizabeth) Gantt of River Falls; two half brothers, Satisfield (Nell) Gantt of Evergreen, and Guy (Jewel) Gantt of Brewton; a sister-in-law, Eunice Orso of Mobile; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held today, Wednesday, March 9, at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Tommy White officiating. Burial will follow at Fort Crawford Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
