Mrs. Margaret Alford Wiggins, 70, of Hwy. 29, died Saturday, March 5, 2005, at a Pensacola, Fla., hospital after an extended illness. She was a native and life-long resident of Escambia County, Ala. She was a member of Damascus Assembly of God Church, a retired personnel director of K-Mart and a homemaker for the past 19 years.
She is survived by her husband, Jessie Franklin Wiggins of Brewton; a son, Frankie (Sherry) Wiggins of Andalusia; two daughters, Elaine Carden of Brewton and Angie Pifer of Gantt; two brothers, Woodrow (Ann) Alford of Seattle, Wash., and Wayne (Diane) Alford of Brewton; five sisters, Myrtle Zappa of Atlanta, Ga., Annett (Oneil) White of Meridian, Miss., Kathy (Sonny) Padgett of Gastonia, N.C., and Shirley (Mason) Hanks and Liz (Roy) Burnham, both of Brewton; six grandchildren, Tina Clements of Brewton, Missy (Kerry) Davis, Russell (Natalie) Broussard and Katie Wiggins, all of Andalusia and Trisha (Shane) Barrow of Montgomery, and two great-grandchildren.
Memorial services were held Tuesday, March 8, at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Doug Greer officiating and Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
