Neal wins three events in season opener at Jay

W.S. Neal posted three first places finishes in its season-opening track meet at Jay (Fla.) Tuesday.
Mario Daniel took top honors in the 100 meter dash at 11.69, while the 400 meter relay team of Ronald Travis, Johnathan Alexander, Dewayne Floyd and Daniel crossed the finish line in a winning time of 48.67.
Jolesia Likely claimed the triple jump on the girls side with a winning leap of 30-4 1/2.
W.S. Neal got a second place finish by Ray Dunn in the 3200 meters with a time of 11:07, while the 1600 meter relay team of Floyd, Dunn, Keith Weaver and Shon Biddle was runner-up at 4:06.
Weaver was third in the 400 meter dash at 58.34 and Alexander was third in the 100 meters at 12.3. Joe Bailey took fourth in the shot put with a throw of 39-0, while Cal Daniel was fifth at 37-3 1/2.
