Mrs. Annie Pearl Madden Burkett, 68, of Burkett Road, died Thursday, March 17, 2005, at a Pensacola hospital after an extended illness. She was a native and life-long resident of Brewton. She was a member of Appleton Free Will Baptist Church and a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Melvin Burkett of Brewton; a son, Dennis (Nelda) Burkett of Dubai, UAE; three daughters, Patricia (Robert) Neese of Stavanger, Norway, and Cynthia Lee and Angelique (Wesley) Findley, both of Brewton; five brothers, Melvin Madden, Buford Madden, Robert Earl Madden, Elton Madden and Carl Madden; two sisters, Carolyn Cooper and Judy Reid; seven grandchildren, Michael Burkett, Brandon Burkett, Daniel Neese, Dava Hornbeak, Lacey Hornbeak, Will Findley and Andrew Findley, and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held Monday, March 21, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 22, at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Grady Palmer officiating. Burial will follow at Weaver Cemetery on Appleton Road with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
