Mr. Aubrey Lee Sapp, 79, died Thursday, March 17, 2005, at a Century care center after an extended illness. He was a native of Flomaton and a long-time resident of the community. He was retired from the sand and gravel business and was a member of Little Escambia Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Johnnie Lou Sapp and sisters, Johnny Lou Sapp and Myrtle Beatrice Sapp.
He is survived by two sons, Glen (Renee Sapp of Seminole and Doug (Bobbie) Sapp of Cantonment, Fla.; a daughter, Gail (Roger) Watson of Jay, Fla.; two brothers, J.B. (Lenette) Sapp of Seminole and Cecil Edward Sapp of Bluff Springs, Fla.; a sister, Buena Sapp Gray of Flomaton; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held today, Sunday, March 20, at 2 p.m. at Little Escambia Baptist Church with the Rev. Jeff Howard and the Rev. Larry Patterson officiating. Burial will follow at Rock Cemetery with Flomaton Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers will be Marty Gray, Jimmy McCaskill, Jack Watson, Quinn Miller, LeRoy Steele and Dale Westmoreland.
