Ms. Wanda Sharmon Cain Johnson, 47, died at her residence in Natalia, Texas, after an extended illness. She was a native and resident of the Brewton area for many years and a resident of Natalia since 1996. She was employed with the Alabama State Highway Department for 20 years and worked with Woodmen of the World Insurance. She bought Medina Oil Salvage in 2001.
She is survived by her mother, Esther Davidson Cain of Appleton, a brother, C. Wayne Cain of Appleton; two nieces; a great nephew; a companion, business partner and cargiver, Allen Chancery of Natalia, and many other friends and relatives.
Visitation will be at the Appleton Free Will Baptist Church Monday, March 21, from 4 to 10 p.m.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 22, at 11 a.m. at the church with the Rev. Robert Craig and Wayne Cain officiating. Burial will follow at Cooper Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers will be Newton Barnes, Ray Dewberry, Fred Coleman, Floyd Coleman, Tim Hall, Kevin Cooper and Tyler Hall. Honorary ballbearers will be Hurston Barnes, Bobby Sawyer, Buddy Cooper, Tony Hall and Willy Joe Wilson.
