Mrs. Irene King Kelly, 86, of East Railroad Street in East Brewton, died Sunday, March 20, 2005, at a local hospital after an extended illness. She was a native and life-long resident of Escambia County. She was a lumber inspector with T.R. Miller Mill Box Factory with 20 years of service and was of the Protestant faith.
She is survived by her husband, John Henry Kelly of East Brewton; two sons, James "Jimmy" Larry Douglas of East Brewton and Kenneth Lee Harris of Roberts; two daughters, Doris (Sam) Wright and Joann (Gerald) Fore, both of Brewton; five brothers, Charlie King of Damascus, Earl King of Cantonment, Fla., Bill King and Huey King, both of Roberts and Ralph King of Allentown; one sister, Lois Cole of Brewton; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held today, Wednesday, March 23, at 10 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Tommy Quick officiating. Burial will follow at Elim Cemetery in the Roberts community with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
