An Andalusia woman was arrested Wednesday after agents found her to be in possession of a crystal methamphetamine lab.
Agents from the 21st Judicial Circuit Drug Task Force along with investigators from the Escambia County Sheriff's Department, assisted the Alabama DHR on a home visit because of several complaints of illegal narcotics usage in a home.
When agents arrived, they found Stephani Quiggins Etheridge, 27, of 23046 Highway 29 in Andalusia, in possession of the lab. She was arrested and transported to the Escambia County Detention Center.
Agents recovered approximately a thousand matchbooks, Red Devil Lye, acetone, iodine and a .9 mm handgun from the residence.
Etheridge was charged with unlawful manufacturing of a controlled substance in the first degree-because children under the age of 17 were in the home and the possession of a handgun-unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
Etheridge's bond was set for $50,000 and he is still in the Detention Center.
