Mr. John L. Ruffin, 55, died Sunday, March 20, 2005, at a Pensacola hospital. He was a member of Second St. Siloam Baptist Church and was employed at T.R. Miller Mill Company. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon D. Farrish; a sister, LaGussa Ruffin and a brother, James Ruffin.
He is survived by his wife, Pearlie Ruffin of Brewton; a son, Darrall Ruffin of Meridian, Miss.; a brother, Marvel (Jessie) Ruffin of Meridian; two brothers-in-law, John L. (Josephine) Farrish and Herman (Anna Mary) Farrish of Brewton; two sisters-in-law, Mattie Lee Farrish and Ida Mae (Elbert) Chambers of Brewton; a devoted niece and nephew, Annie (Johnny) Middleton of Brewton and a number of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, March 26, at 11 a.m. at Presley-Fluker Funeral Home with the Rev. H.B. King officiating. Burial followed at Baptist Hill Cemetery with Presley-Fluker Funeral Home directing.
