Mrs. Helen Louise Brantley, 84, died Tuesday, March 29, 2005, at her residence in Flomaton. She was a lifelong member of the Flomaton community. She was a retired sewing machine operator at Judy Bond where she worked for 30 years. She was a member of Catawba Springs Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Brantley.
She is survived by her sons, Joe (Cora) Brantley and Alvin (Hazel) Brantley, both of Flomaton; a daughter, Linda B. Henderson of Elberta; six sisters, Grace Brantley, Jesse Haddock and Bess Williamson, all of Flomaton, Neelie Barnes of Pensacola, Fla., Lois White of Gonzales, Fla. and Jeanie Eckhoff of Lucedale, Miss.; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thursday, March 31, at 11 a.m. at Flomaton Funeral Home chapel with Dr. Stephen Yuhasz officiating. Burial followed at Catawba Cemetery with Flomaton Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Dave Brantley, Shawn Emmons, Billy Sheffield, Shannon Brantley, Greg Guzman and Butch Lee.
