Their record may not be perfect in terms of wins and losses, but the T.R. Miller Tigers golf team's record is perfect when it comes to improvement.
In the four meets T.R. Miller has played since its season opener, the Tigers have lowered their season best score each time.
T.R. Miller shaved eight more strokes off its previous season best score Monday when it downed Thomasville 163-175 in a meet at Monroeville. Monroe County also participated, but did not have enough players for a team score.
Speaking of season bests, Tigers junior Tripp Owens posted his best score of the spring with a one-under-par 34 to lead all players.
Hayes Peace was next in line with a 40, David Stokes checked in with a 43 and James Dixon was the final counter at a 44.
Other T.R. Miller scores included Brooks Fussell with a 45, Matt Fraser with a 46 and Clay Parker with a 49.
The Tigers (5-1-1), who played an 18-hole meet at Greenville Tuesday, return home Monday for an 18-hole match against Greenville and Monroe County.
