Nine people were arrested and charged this week following a long time investigation into illegal drug activity, including marijuana and crack cocaine. Six individuals were arrested on Thursday and three were arrested on Friday.
Agents from the 21st Judicial Circuit Drug Task Force, along with investigators with the Escambia County Sheriff's Office, officers from the Brewton Police Department and an officer from the Department of Agriculture State Police executed a search warrant at 510 St. Joseph Street in Brewton, officials said.
Agents picked up marijuana, crack cocaine, $1,750 in cash, pills and scales from the site.
The arrestees were taken to the Escambia County Detention Center and separately charged.
