Mrs. Elizabeth Ash Deslonde, 82, died Thursday, April 21, 2005 at a Pensacola, Fla., hospital. She was a native of Century, Fla., but had been a resident of Flomaton for most of her life. She was a homemaker and a member of the Flomaton Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. She was preceded in death by her husband, James D. Deslonde Sr. and a grandchild, Sean Vincent Deslonde.
She is survived by three sons, Andre A. (Linda) Deslonde of Flomaton, and James D. (Charleen) Deslonde and Michael T. (Anna) Deslonde, both of Brewton; a brother, Hunter Ash of Flomaton; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 23, at 3 p.m. at Flomaton Funeral Home Chapel with speaker Robert Small officiating. Burial followed at Flomaton Cemetery with Flomaton Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Brett Deslonde, Jacques Deslonde, Nicholas Deslonde, Adrian Deslonde, Robby Lee and Cory McHenry. Honorary pallbearers were Thomas B. Arrington, Thomas L. Arrington, James Walter Ash Jr., Richard Ash, Larry Jones and Gene Kostreba.
