Mr. Mae Eula Steele McDonald, 79, died Wednesday, May 4, 2005, at a local hospital after an extended illness. She was a native and lifelong resident of Escambia County, Ala., and was a retired seamstress with Judy Bond Fashion with 35 years of service. She was a member of the East Brewton Church of The Nazarene. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee McDonald; two brothers, Edward Lee Steele and Clark Steele, and two sisters, Luverne Gafford and Eunice Pittman.
She is survived by three sons, Melvin McDonald and Lee McDonald, both of East Brewton, and Ray McDonald of Pace, Fla.; two sisters, Roberta Bryant of Pensacola, Fla., and Dorothy Howell of Milton, Fla.; seven grandchildren and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, May 7, at 11 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. David Lewis, pastor of Woodbine Baptist Church, officiating. Burial followed at Green Acres Memorial Gardens with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
