Mr. Morris W. Nelson, 69, of Williamson Street, East Brewton, died suddenly Friday, May 20, 2005. He was a native of Boaz, and a long time resident of East Brewton. He was a member of Cedar Hill Baptist Church, a U.S. Army veteran and was self-employed in the construction industry.
He is survived by his wife, Louise Self Nelson of East Brewton; one son, Scott (Beckie) Nelson of Pace, Fla.; three brothers, James Nelson of New Mexico, Glen Nelson of Georgia and Roy Nelson of Anniston; one sister, May (J.L.) Walker of Boaz; four grandchildren, Daniel Nelson, Jenna Nelson, Travis Nelson and Anna Nelson and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held Monday, May 23, at 1 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. James Nelson and Bro. Tommy White officiating. Burial followed at Green Acres Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
