Mr. George D. Legrand Wilson, 66, of Appleton Road, died Monday, June 13, 2005, at a local nursing facility after an extended illness. He was a native and lifelong resident of Escambia County, Ala., and was retired from T.R. Miller Mill Company. He was a member of the Appleton Free Will Baptist Church.
He is survived by two brothers, Richard (Mary) Wilson and Willie Joe Wilson, both of Castleberry; two sisters, Lillian McGougin and Helen (Bobby) Jarrell, both of Castleberry, and two nieces.
Funeral services will be held today, Wednesday, June 15, at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Craig officiating. Burial will follow at Cooper Cemetery in the Appleton community with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
