Brewton American Legion drew a first-round matchup against Samson, a team it just swept Sunday, in this weekend's Third Division District Tournament to be played at Northcutt Field in Dothan. Brewton and Samson hook up at 4 p.m. The tournament's other participants, Wiregrass and Dothan, hook up at 7 p.m.
If Brewton wins its opener, it will play the Wiregrass-Dothan winner Saturday at 4 p.m. A loss Friday will send Brewton to Saturday's elimination bracket where it will face the Dothan-Wiregrass loser at 1 p.m.
The tournament concludes Sunday. The top three teams will advance to the state tournament at Ozark. That event
