The name on the school remains the same, but many of the facilities at W.S. Neal High School are in the process of undergoing major facelifts.
One key area of work has centered around the Blue Eagle Baseball Field.
A major project that is currently underway is putting new sod in the outfield.
Most of the other facility renovation work so far has centered around the W.S. Neal Field House.
The exterior of the building received a new coat of paint last spring.
The old metal player lockers within the field house have been removed and been replaced by wooden lockers.
Hathcock has turned what used to be an old locker room into a coaches conference room.
New carpet has been put in the individual coaches offices and the team meeting room. The boys weight room has undergone a paint job.
Hathcock said there are other areas that need to addressed in the future.

Hathcock said the key for future facility work is to upgrade a little bit every year.
Hathcock said the current renovation work would not be possible without the aid of several sources.
