Mr. Raymond Odell Emmons, 79, died Saturday, Aug. 6, 2005, in St. Charles, Mo. He was a native and former resident of Century, Fla., and a recent resident of St. Charles. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, retired from St. Regis Paper Company after 29 years, and attended the Faith Bible Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Marjorie Emmons.
He is survived by two sons, Larry (Vickie) Emmons of Augusta, Ga., and Thomas Earl (Shirley) Emmons of Manford, Okla.; a daughter, Gwen Emmons and Mike Cole of St. Charles; a brother, Joel Bernard Emmons of Century; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Aug. 10, at 10 a.m. at the Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Gene Stokes officiating. Burial followed at Flomaton Cemetery with Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing.
