Mrs. Dillie Mae Marshall, 100, died Saturday, Aug. 13, 2005, at her residence at Roanoke. She was a native of Randolph County. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church since 1925, where she was the oldest member. She had worked eight years in Wedowee in the tax assessor's office, 14 years as manager of Dale's Dress Shop in LaGrange, Ga., and 14 years as manager of Top Dollar Store in Roanoke. She was preceded in death by her husband, M.K. Marshall.
Survivors include two grandsons, Bobby Marshall of Brewton, and Charles Jordan of Roanoke.
Funeral services were held Monday, Aug. 15, at 11 a.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Tim Craft and the Rev. Thomas Waldrep officiating. Burial followed at the church cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Jordan Hipple, Robbie Marshall, June Waldrep, Fred Waldrep, Jimmy Jones and Justin Marshall.
