Mrs. Willie Josey Dyess Stanford, 84, died Thursday, Aug. 25, 2005, at her residence after an extended illness. She was a native and life long resident of Conecuh County and was retired from Max Kahn Manufacturing. She was a member of the Lenox Baptist Church.
She is survived by five sons, Houston Stanford, Floyd Stanford, Lloyd Stanford and Douglas Stanford, all of Range, and Stevie Stanford of Perdido; four daughters, Elsie Cain of Brewton, Voncil Thomas of Range, Idell Richardson of Lenox, and Debra Lee of Century, Fla.; 17 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Aug. 27, at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Lavon Salter and the Rev. Willie Renfroe officiating. Burial followed at Remah Primitive Baptist Cemetery in Lenox with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
