Last September when Hurricane Ivan slammed into the Brewton-East Brewton area there were plenty of people who came and gave of their time and money to help get everyone back on their feet.
Now it is time to repay a little of the love and thoughts for those living in the path of Hurricane Katrina. Cannon's Carpets has made the first step in the area by organizing and placing a collection container in the store in downtown Brewton.
Edwards checked online to see what the procedure would be and what they needed to do to get the donations where they needed to go. She said that they could be delivered to Andalusia, Ala., which will make it even easier.
Those who wish to make a donation can make their checks out to Salvation Army and designate it as disaster relief. Stop by Cannon's Carpets and leave checks, pocket change or any amount in their large bucket container.
