Final shots in the anti-polio vaccine program will be given in the county next week, according to Miss Claire Goff of the county health office.
With more children to come as soon as cotton picking ends, county schools had an enrollment of 5,382 during the first week of school.
Instead of taking the much-rumored step of firing County Engineer R.E. Taylor, the Board of Revenue approved without argument his recommendations regarding two county roads.
New members were elected by members of the Brewton Country Club at a meeting Monday night.
Escambia County will be represented by Miss Wilda Nall, daughter of Mrs. Myrtice Nall of McCullough at the District Dairy Show in Mobile Tuesday.
