Auxiliary provides relief, seeks more volunteers

Members of the D.W. McMillan Hospital Auxiliary have a long history of providing support and help in time of need. Now they're extending their tradition to help hurricane victims.
Voncile Fountain, D.W. McMillan Hospital Auxiliary president, said the group has collected clothes, supplies, and household items, primarily from Auxiliary members and hospital employees.
The group began collecting items two weeks ago, and by Monday had filled most of the hospital auditorium.
Mrs. Fountain said the Auxiliary has undertaken a number of projects in the past to make people more comfortable when they or their loved ones are in the hospital.
Among their projects are:
