Doris Wilmer Tanner Turnbow

Mrs. Doris Wilmer Tanner Turnbow, 82, died Friday, Sept. 23, 2005 in a Pensacola, Fla. medical facility after an extended illness. She was a native of Madison County, Miss., and a former resident of Jackson, Miss., before moving to Brewton 20 years ago. She was a member of the Alco Baptist Church and a retired seamstress.
She is survived by three sons, Ronald R. Turnbow of Hazle Hurst, Miss., Mickey Turnbow of Verbena and Kenneth D. Turnbow of Sarasota, Fla.; two daughters, Jo Gayle Stewart and Kay Winstead, both of Brewton; a brother, Buddy Tanner of Sun, La.; three sisters, Elois Womack and Mary Rasberry, both of Puckett, Miss., and Virginia Little of Gulfport, Miss.; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Sept. 25, at 2 p.m. at Ridge Road Baptist Church with Bro. Lee Cadenhead officiating. Burial followed at the church Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
