A dispute over school finances – covering teachers' salaries, debts and budget – has broken out between Supervisor for Guidance O.C. Weaver and County Education Commissioner J.Z Walding.
Without discussion, the Board of Revenue adopted the 1955-56 county budget Monday. But the budget had been well-discussed in previous meetings. As aproved, the General Fund budget is $181,239.15.
Something that doesn't happen often bobbed up Monday at a Board of Revenue meeting. One of the members voted ”No.“
A proposal to build about 60 miles of paved roads costing $800,000 under the mail-box road plan will be taken to Montgomery Tuesday by Board of Revenue Member L.W. Martin and County Engineer R.E. Taylor.
