Mrs. Melvia Stone Money, 75, died Sunday, Oct. 9, 2005, at a Pensacola, Fla., hospital after an extended illness. She was a native and life long resident of Escambia County. She was of the Baptist faith and retired from the State of Alabama Unemployment Office with 22 years of service.
She is survived by a daughter, Stephanie (Gib) Burk of Lottie; two step-grandchildren, Leigh Shaughnessy of Lottie and Ben Burk of Fish River, Ala.; a sister-in-law, Lillian Stone of Jasper, Texas and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, Oct. 12, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Oct. 13, at 11 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Thomas White officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
