Mr. Darryl A. Bankson, 45, died Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2005, at a Santa Rosa county hospital. He was a native of Century, Fla., and a resident of Davisville for over nine years. He was a former employee for Simmons Ambulance Company in Monroeville, a trucker for Bankston Trucking and a member of Poplar Dell Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Glenda Bankston of Davisville; his mother, Jessie Martin of Milton; his father and stepmother, Dillard and Rochelle Bankston of Century; a stepson, Jonathan Adams of Pensacola, Fla.; a stepdaughter, Stella Harrelson of Davisville; three grandchildren, Michaela Harrelson, Michael Harrelson and Myles Harrelson, all of Davisville; a sister, Lajuana (James) Jacobs of Gun Barrel City, Texas; and three stepbrothers, Bill Macks, Danny Macks and Sam Macks, all of Century.
Funeral services were held Oct. 15, at 10 a.m. at the Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Sonny Willingham and the Rev. Marcus Caraway officiating. Burial followed at Poplar Dell Cemetery with Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Dwayne Conrad, Keith Davis, Chad Cook, Burnie Jones, Aaron Smith and Buster Nall. Honorary pallbearer was Chris Campbell and alternates were Tim Jones and Brad Wilcoxon.
