Mrs. Daisy Mary Wade Lee, 98, of Foshee Road, died Thursday night, Oct. 27, 2005, in a local nursing facility after an extended illness. She was a native of Awin, Ala., a former resident of Monroe County and a long time resident of Brewton. She was a member of Pineview Baptist Church, a former schoolteacher, a homemaker and former owner of N.E. Lee's Store in Pineview for 35 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Noah E. Lee and a great grandson.
She is survived by three sons, John E. Lee, Samuel T. (Shirley) Lee and Paul E. (Everlean) Lee, all of Brewton; four daughters, Mary L. (Jesse) Lassiter of Jay, Fla., Betty L. (Charles) McPherason of Walnut Hill, Fla., Faye L. (Winston) Godwin of Huxford, and Margie (Vernon) Parker of Brewton; one sister, Georgia W. Dreadin of Huxford; a sister-in-law, Loree Wright of Brewton; 15 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and three great, great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held today, Sunday, Oct. 30, at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Ricky Hart officiating. Burial will follow at Ramah Cemetery in Lenox with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
